Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center
Located in the beautiful mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center is a 120 bed long-term care facility providing skilled nursing care and rehabilitation for Kentucky veterans. EKVC is operated by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs and was built for the sole purpose of taking care of Kentucky Veterans.

EKVC Renamed for former Governor Paul E. Patton |

On September 28, 2009, The Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard underwent a name change following an executive order recently signed by Gov. Steve Beshear.
The governor was on hand for a dedication ceremony at the facility in Hazard renaming the center for former two-term Governor Paul Patton. The facility will now be called the Paul E. Patton Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center.
