Juana Cornett

 

Juana Cornett has provided almost 15 years of outstanding service to the residents and employees of the Paul E. Patton, Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center. In that time her work ethic and dedication to the mission has advanced her through several job promotion opportunities and allowed her to become an exceptional leader within the dietary department.  The dietary staff look to her on a daily basis for encouragement and guidance to provide the best meals and service to our deserving Veterans.  Thank you, Juana, for your continued love and dedication to our facility and congratulations on the honor of being named our “Employee of the Year.”

Nikki Begley

Nikki Begley is a 1998 graduate of Hazard High School and a 2003 graduate of Sullivan University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  Nikki has been an exemplary employee of EKVC for almost 14 years where she serves as Fiscal Manager.  She is dedicated to serving veterans and their families with their financial needs. 

 

 

 

 

 

Wellness Employee Of The Year

Essie Eversole

Essie Pennington Eversole has been an employee of EKVC since November of 2001, providing now over 14 years of loving care to the Veterans we serve here.  During this time she has served as Housekeeper and now serves as our Office Support Assistant II; she is often the first smile you see as you walk through our doors, and the voice you hear when you call our facility. She currently resides in Hazard, KY and is the mother of one daughter and the grandmother to one grandson.  Essie dedicates much of her spare time to her family and working at her family’s diner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wellness Employee Of The Quarter

Connie Grigsby

Connie Grigsby is a Clinical Dietitian at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard, Kentucky.  She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Home Economics with emphasis in Dietetics from Berea College.  Later, she furthered her education by obtaining her Master’s of Science in Community Nutrition from Eastern Kentucky University.  Her employment history includes working in a physician’s office for 10 years, where she educated patients with various nutritional needs, followed by working at the Hazard Regional Medical Center for 12 years as a Clinical Dietitian.  Connie has worked at EKVC for 7 years and enjoys assisting Kentucky veterans meet their nutrition goals.
